United Way of Kern County invests in the community through grants, programs, coalitions and volunteer engagement which focuses on income, education, and health.

Grants to Non-Profit Agencies. United Way of Kern County invests in programs that are achieving measurable results in our goal areas of income and education.

Coalitions. United Way of Kern County partners with other organizations and forms coalitions because changing community conditions requires everyone to work together, including the public, private and nonprofit sectors.

Advocacy. United Way of Kern County advocates for public policies that will help to achieve our goals, including making sure children have access to reliable health care.

Programs and Services. United Way of Kern County offers programs and services that help people get back on their feet and achieve economic self-sufficiency.

Volunteer Engagement. United Way of Kern County engages individuals and groups to make a difference by volunteering their time and talent to make positive changes in the community.
