United Way of Kern County is focused on improving our community.
Day of Caring 2008 will be an opportunity for us and the entire
community to do just that. United Way will lead the way for hundreds of
volunteers to affect our local community through their efforts that day.
Who
are these volunteers and what are they doing?
Over the past ten years we have seen local companies round up their
employees and make a team effort. They work with
local nonprofit organizations on projects too large and expensive for
agencies to do on their own. They are creating experiences and
relationships that last long after they go home that afternoon.
