Loyal Contributors:
United Way of Kern County’s loyal contributors recognize and celebrate individuals who have supported United Way for a number of years.
If you have been giving to any United Way for 10 or more years (does not have to be consecutive), we want to recognize you, thank you and let you know how important you are to us.
Please let us know who you are! Go to Loyal Contributor Survey - we would like to know what shaped your involvement with United Way. Also, we value your opinion about our community needs and initiatives.
Emerging Leaders:
United Way Emerging Leaders’ Society (UWEL) is designed for young professionals age 40 and under who want to engage with the community to create opportunities for a better tomorrow. UWEL and its members support United Way of Kern County’s focus on the building blocks for a better life - Education, Income, and Health - to create a brighter future for all in our community.
Emerging Leaders are individuals who want to make a lasting change in our community. United Way of Kern County offers this dynamic group of young professionals opportunities to get involved in the community, volunteer, grow professionally, network, and gain skills that will help them become community leaders in Kern County. To print brochure, select brochure or for more information on United Way Emerging Leaders contact our Resource Development Manager.
Women’s Leadership Council:
Around the country, United Ways are mobilizing women and providing them a greater voice, by educating and encouraging them to effect change in their communities; creating venues to share their concerns and visions; and strengthening their relationships with each other and with their local United Way. Kern County’s female leaders are key decision-makers and philanthropists. They invest their time, talent and resources in United Way initiatives.
United Way of Kern County Women’s Leadership Council promotes community involvement and philanthropic giving among women in our community with the purpose of furthering United Way’s vision to see Kern County residents learn well, earn well and live well.
The Women's Leadership Council is getting established. For more information on how to get in involved, please contact UWKC Resource Development Manager.
