Need prescription drugs, but don't have insurance? United Way of Kern County, in partnership with Membership Services Corporation and pharmacies throughout the county, can help.

Save an average of 20% on prescriptions with the FamilyWize Prescription Drug Discount Card. The card has no usage or age limits, income requirements or registration forms, and can be used immediately to reduce the cost of medicine for anyone who has no prescription drug coverage. The greatest discounts are available on generic drugs. Cards may not be used in combination with health insurance benefits.

In just six months, Kern County residents have saved more than $238,000 with the FamilyWize Prescription Drug Discount Card.

From July through December, participating pharmacies in Kern County filled 9,545 prescriptions for families using the FamilyWize card with an average savings per prescription of 45 percent.
